Thought du jour - 6 August 2011

"The directing of a picture involves coming out of your individual loneliness and taking a controlling part in putting together a small world. A picture is made. You put a frame around it and move on. And one day you die. That is all there is to it." - John Huston

Lovin' your "thought du jour", Paul... but this photo of Huston is just too cool. Brings back my dad's era to me - absolutely wonderful.

Huston's was an era that definitely had style to go along with substance, Dia. Ours is woefully short of both.

Yeah, well, in terms of integrity and strength of character, I don't know that subsequent generations are bringing about any improvement either... Perhaps the human gene pool is growing a little thinner with time.

BTW, I meant to say "thoughts du jour" as in plural...!

Hang in there.
